Facsimile of the Album “Terra Mariana (1188-1888)”
The project will be implemented in cooperation with Vatican Library and the University of Daugavpils followed by scientific commentaries in German, Polish, Latin and Latvian.

The Baltic seminar “Shared Use of Information and Resources: Cooperation of Museums, Archives and Libraries in the Field of Standardisation”.
The aim of the international seminar is to discuss the problems, solutions and development tendencies of standardization in museums, archives and libraries of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, facilitating the joint work in preserving and making accessible the culture heritage of these states.

EDLnet – Cooperation of the Prominent European Organisations within the Archives, Libraries and Museums, and Audio-visual Sector. The aim of the project is to make a dialogue on the possibilities of culture exchange among these organisations in order to assist in implementing the goals of the European Digital Library.

TELplus
The joint project realized by more than 20 European libraries. The aim of the project is to improve TEL (The European Library) services, to solve the optical recognition of texts, harvesting, indexing of full texts and creation of automatic dictionaries. Implementation of the project means improvement of the service to TEL users and creation of new services.
Length of the project: 2 years.

Scientific bibliographic index of O.Vācietis
The aim of the project is to inform the society about the versatile literary heritage left by O.Vācietis and the work done in researching his literary works, creating a wide informative base for further study of the poet’s creative heritage, translations, and publications. The bibliographic index of ca. 8000 records is going to be published in 2008, commemorating O.Vācietis’ 75th anniversary.

Exhibition "West European engravings of the 16th – 18th centuries”
According to the acknowledgements of art historians and experts
Peters Betgers’ (Germany) private collection of the West European engravings of the 16th – 18th centuries possess unique originals made in rare graphic printing techniques not to be found in any museums and collections in Riga. Exhibitions on such a scale take place very seldom in Latvia and until now this will be the first opportunity for Latvian art professionals and enthusiasts to view undetected treasures.
